"Ike" Welch was born 15 April 1915 in in Brethern, Manistee, Michigan. His parents are Preston Welch (1863 – 1918) and Anna Arminta May Schnopp (1881 – 1958).
Ike married Virginia Elaine Harkness and together they raised eight children.
Ike Welch, age 54, died on 01 May 1969 in Paul Oliver Hospital in Frankfort, Benzie County, Michigan. He was a resident of Bear Lake.
He is survived by his widow, four daughters, three sons, three grandchildren; two sisters, six brothers, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva and burial took place in Corfu Cemetery.
