Otie's date of birth is listed as 26 December 1896 on both the World War 1 draft registration card as well as the U.S. Social Security Claims Index - this contradicts the stone which lists his year of birth as 1897. Since he is the one that gave the year of birth on the WWI registration card and the grave marker was created after both of his parents had passed, I tend to believe the year of birth is 1896 per contributor Denise Petersen.
