The second child and eldest daughter of William Walter and Matilda Robinson. She was born probably in Bartholomew or Johnson County Indiana after her parents had moved from Wayne County where they resided for a short time after leaving Ohio. Around 1829 her parents moved to Wabash Township, Tippecanoe County, about 5 miles north-west of Lafayette. She married Elijah Denton in Tippecanoe County in 1837 and she and Elijah had two known children. A daughter Mary Clarissa in 1844 and an infant son who died July 6, 1846 unnamed. Upon the death of Myrrilla her daughter Mary Clarissa was raised by her Robinson Grandparents. Elijah Denton later remarried and had a second family.
