Lee G. Shields, of Topeka, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Mar 13, 1972. He had had a heart ailment several years.
He was born Apr 8, 1900 at Ottumwa, Iowa and lived at Kansas City, MO before he moved to Topeka in 1947.
He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion. He was a locomotive engineer for Santa Fe Railway before he
retired.
He was married to Jean L Shriver May 25, 1942. She survives.
Other survivors include 3 sisters, Mrs Albert E Scott and Mrs Alta Blue, both of Wichita, and Mrs Dale B Dean, San Angelo, Tex.
