Mrs. Sarah Ellen Benjamin, 87, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Orville Turner, at Mexico, Mo. Monday morning. Funeral rites were held for Mrs. Benjamin at the Cherry Box Christian church where she was a member, this morning at 10:30 and burial was in the cemetery there.
Mrs. Benjamin was the former Sarah Ellen Hunsaker and was born in Liberty, Ill. She lived the greater part of her life in the Cherry Box community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Hezekiah Benjamin. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Turner with whom she made her home, and Mrs. Dick Carpenter of Kansas City; one son, Harvey of Beardsley, Kansas., and three brothers, Will of Kirksville, Charley of Mountain Grove and Sam of Texas.
