Mrs. Algia Ruth Hardy, 83, of 26299 Eunice, Lydick, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday in her home after an extended illness. She was born on Dec. 27,1893, in Rochester and lived in this area all her life. On March 27, 1921, in Geneva, Ind., she married Harvey Robert Hardy, who died on Aug. 15, 1965.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Erma Plumbeck of South Bend, Mrs. Ruth Myers of Lucasville, Ohio, and Mrs. Evadean Phend of St. Charles, Mo.; a son, Richard Lewis of Portland, Ore.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Lucille Trace and Mrs. Katherin Nieman, both of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hardy was a member of the Lydick United Methodist Church, the Ladies' Aid Society, the Lydick Women's Club, and the Gleaner's Sewing Circle.
