Tommie was born in Jane, on Oct. 18, 1921 to the late Curt Lee and Ollie Mae (Burns) Yeargain. He had lived all of his life in Jane.

Tommie married the love of his life, Treva Mae Stephens, on Sept. 9, 1943.

He served as our Eastern County Commissioner from 1983 – 1985 and from 1987-1992; worked at the ASCS office in Anderson, and was a livestock trader for several years. He enjoyed coon hunting; trained and sold jumping mules. Tommie farmed and ranched all of his life on the State of Missouri Certified Century Farm, where he was born and raised. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Jane.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 42 years, Treva Mae Yeargain, on Jan. 25, 1986; a daughter, Tammy Gay Yeargain; a sister, Lillian and a nephew, Edward Lee.

Tommie is survived by his three children, Gwen Williams, Nashville, Tenn., Gayle Bequette and husband, Paul, Jane, Tom Yeargain, Jr., Jane; five grandchildren, Shelton Hank Williams III, Angela Dawn Yeargain, Yeargain, Spike and Catlin Bequette; four great-grandchildren; extended family, Kim, Kyle and Krystal Hubbard and Jim Yaus; along with many other family, friends and neighbors who will dearly miss Tommie.

Funeral services for Tommie Al Yeargain will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Jane. Rev. Hank Gorman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jane cemetery, Jane.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until service time Thursday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Jane, the family will receive friends at this time.

Memorial contributions in loving memory of Tommie may be given to the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale; the Jane Cemetery or the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Jane.
