York Haven- James Steven Snyder, 45 of Newberry Twp., a native of Wichita, Kan. Died Thursday in the Harrisburg Hospital. He was the owner of J & J Custom Counters, New Cumberland; a former late-model race car driver at midstate tracks; and a coach with the Red Land Little League baseball, Midget football, and soccer. He was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School; enjoyed NASCAR, motocross, hunting and fishing; and was a sprint car sponsor for Mark Smith.

Surviving are his wife, Paulette V.K. Snyder, a son James Lee, and two daughters, Lindsay Marie and Stefanie Nichole all at home; his parents, James L and Bernice S Snyder Mechanicsburg: two brothers Paul B. of Camp Hill and Jay A of Colonial Park; a sister, Darci Snyder Blanck of Manheim: and his maternal Grandmother Faye Sweger of Mechanicsburg.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in the Tri-County Memorial Gardens Fairview Twp.
Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, with casual attire invited.
