Funeral services for Pauline Clare Smith, 84, Douglass, were at 2 p.m. yesterday at the Douglass United Methodist Church.
Rev. Dan Ferguson officiated and burial was in the Douglass Cemetery.
She died Dec. 24, 1986 at the Augusta Medical Complex.
She was born Dec. 29, 1901 in Udall to Alvin and Edna Jacobus Hartenbower.
She married Denzil Smith. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Douglass United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Lee of Wichita and John of Lamar, Colo.; daughters, Jean Weaver of Douglass, Roberta White of Columbia, Md. and Katherine Mauk of Wichita; a sister, Alvine Lentz of Albuquerque, N. M.; a brother Casey Hartenbower of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass United Methodist Church.
