Mrs. Diana Ashline
Edgewood, Ia., Jan. 16 -- Funeral services were held at the Congregational church Friday afternoon for Mrs. Diana Ashline, who died at her home here Wednesday morning.
Diana Knickerbocker was born on Feb. 22, 1848, the daughter of Amasa and Matilda Knickerbocker, in Potter County, Pennsylvania.
On November 14, 1868, she was united in marriage with George Ashline, a veteran of the Civil war, at Bridgeport, Wis. To this union were born three sons and one daughter, all of whom survive, F.R. Ashline, H.Q. Ashline are operating farms near Edgewood; Mrs. Hugh Rizer is a resident of Manchester, and W.G. Ashline is a businessman in Des Moines. There are 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The greater part of Mrs. Ashline's life was spent in Edgewood or vicinity. She was a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and the Congregational church.
Funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the Congregational church, Rev. C.V. Lannholm, and burial was made in the Edgewood cemetery.
