GIBSON, DELTA A., (21 Apr 1910-24 Aug 1998), Milan--Delta A. Gibson, 88, of Milan died Monday in Ypsilanti. Friends may call from 7-9 tonight and from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mark Murphy, pastor of Ypsilanti Free Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, Milan Township. Born April 21, 1910 in Mooreville, she was the daughter of Eugene and Hazel (Curry) Dennison. She married Gordon Gibson on Oct. 25, 1932; he died June 10, 1982. She was employed as a dispatcher for the Augusta Township Fire Department for more than 30 years. She was a member of Milan Senior Citizens and the Independent Order of Foresters. Surviving are two sons, Arbie of Milan and Gordon (Hoot) of Dundee; five daughters, Gordenia Compau of Milan, Mrs. John (Joyce) Lange of Houghton Lake, Mrs. Clarence (Lillian) Whitney of Beaverton and Mrs. Butch (Emily) Beiries and Mrs. David (Margaret) Nichols, both of Milan; 29 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
