Roy Adelsman, 85, a resident of the Apple Valley Health Care Center, formerly of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1991, at the health care center. Funeral services will be on Saturday at First Baptist Church in Fergus Falls, with the Rev. Bruce Nelson officiating.

He was born June 20, 1906 in Slayton, the son of John and Olive Anderson Adelsman. As a child, he moved with his family to Fergus Falls, where he attended school and lived most of his life. On Sept. 1, 1933, he married Ruby Lund in Fergus Falls.

He was a graduate of Dunwoody Institute of Minneapolis, majoring in sheet metal work. Roy worked for his father and later went into a business with his brothers, known as the Adelsman Foundry of Fergus Falls. In his later years, he was a salesman for the Neenah Foundry. He and his wife moved to Apple Valley in 1988. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fergus Falls.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby; two sons, Russell of Apple Valley and Roger of North St. Paul; one brother, Leon of Seattle, Wash.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
