Shelby--E. W. Browning, 74, died early Monday at Shelby Memorial Hospital following a four year illness.
Native of Franklin county where he was born Oct. 9, 1868, he had lived in Shelby for the past five years. He was a member of the United Brethren church.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. at the Dye funeral home with Rev. J. C. Searle, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be in the Butler cemetery.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mae Browning: three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Worley and Mrs. James O'Hearn, both of Mansfield, and Mrs. Charles Salsgiver of Baltimore, Md.; one son, Charles Browning of Perrysville; one brother Harry Browning of Mt. Gilead; three sisters, Mrs. Bert Barber and Mrs. Wren Parker, both of Mt. Gilead, and Mrs. William Hatcher of Marion; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
