According to the Wilmoth Book there were two Wilmoths Families and they separated one went to Charlotte Co, VA an one went West over the mountains to Randolph County, (W) Virginia. There are two separate Thomas Wilmoths families.
Thomas married Amy Schoonover 19 Apr 1798 in Leading Creek, Randolph County, (W)VA. Their children Anna, Iantha, John, Absolom, Edmund, Levi, Elizabeth, Margaret, Mary Elizabeth Wilmoth. Their may be one other child he had many land dealings with Absolom b. abt 1801 and Levi b 1809 and that is Jesse Canfield Wilmoth born 1807 in Randolph Co. So far no one can make a connection for him to his family.
