FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR ELLA HOPKINS HUFF
Funeral services were held in the Kanosh Ward hall, Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Ella Hopkins Huff, 45, who died at her home near Meadow, Sunday, December 24, following an illness of over three months duration.
The speakers at the services were C.F. Christensen of Salt Lake, a former Bishop of Kanosh Ward; J. Preston Creer of Salt Lake, formerly Sup't of Utah Co. Schools and A.A. Kimball for many years Bishop of Kanosh Ward. The choir sang "Shall We Meet Beyond the River", and "Lead Kindly Light". Vocal solos were rendered by Mrs. Helen Rogers, Mrs. Grace Staples, Mr. Wilford Watts of Kanosh and a Mrs. Kirkham of Lehi. A male quartet sang "The Rosary". Bishop Leo Stott of Meadow offered the invocation; J. Clayton Watts pronounced the benediction and the dedicator prayer at the grave was offered by Noble Kimball.
Mrs. Huff was a woman of sterling qualities, she was a good wife and a good mother. She possessed a wide awake, vital and interesting personality. She is survived by her husband, Claud Huff, by two daughters, Claudia and Theda and a son, Vernon, also by two brothers, Dr. Karl Hopkins, Sup't of Ogden City Schools, and Dr. Ira Hopkins of Palo Alto, California. Dr. Karl Hopkins was unable to attend the services as he is in an Ogden hospital recovering from a broken shoulder and arm, which he suffered in an accident several weeks ago.
