Aaron Ubaldo Borunda, 5, Athens, died Monday at an Athens hospital.
The funeral was Tuesday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick Murphy and the Rev. James P. Adams officiating. Burial was in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Aaron was a student at Julian Newman Elementary School and attended St. Ann's Catholic Church in Decatur.
Survivors include his parents, Ubaldo and Penny Borunda of Athens; a sister, Tavia Borunda of Athens; and grandparents, Jose and Rosenda Borunda of Chichuahua, Mexico.
