Former Pennsy Engineer Taken

Funeral To Be Wednesday For Harry G. Allison

Harry G. Allison, 63, retired Wellsville Pennsylvania Railroad Co. engineer, died Sunday morning in the Kiehl Nursing Home, folllowing a several months' illness. He lived at 1787 Clark Ave. Mr. Allison spent his lifetime in Wellsville. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Burgess Allison. He was employed by the Pennsy for nearly 40 years, and was placed on the honor roll in 1935 because of ill health. He was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Wellsville, Wellsville Lodge 180, Masons, Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland, Pilgrim Commandery 55, Knights Templar of East Liverpool, Lake Erie Consistory of Cleveland, Wellsville Lodge 1040, Elks and Wellsville Lodge 170, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Richard Leigh at home; a son, Harry Deane Allison of East Liverpool; a brother, Clarence Allison and a sister, Mrs. O. S. Dick of Cleveland, and two grandchildren. His wife, Mrs. Jessie Cable Allison preceded him in death. The body was taken to the MacLean Funeral Home where services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. by Rev. L. W. Lemmon and Rev. E. C. Irwin of Ford City, Pa., pastor, of the Second United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
