Lorin Ray Jones, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 20th surrounded by family members. Lorin was born on Sept. 14, 1943 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Ray L and Sybil Nelson Jones, the second of eight children. Lorin attended Ricks College, BYU and UVCC. He met his sweetheart, Laura Fetterman Jones, at a Christmas dance in Long Beach, CA. They were married on April 14, 1970 and sealed in the Manti Temple. Together they had four children, four sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and 14 grandchildren. Lorin loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Mexico City, where he developed a lifelong love of the Hispanic people. He blessed the lives of those he knew with his talents, friendship and kindness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 26 at the Cherry Hill 7th Ward, 135 East 2000 South, Orem, Utah at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be on Wednesday, Aug. 25 from 7-9 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services. The Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery
