Lorene Virginia Gullett, nee Rowden, 85, St. Clair, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Washington.

Mrs. Gullett was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Bland, the daughter of Abraham Rowden and wife Nettie, nee Burns.

On Jan. 11, 1941, she was united in marriage to Ola Eldon Gullett.

Mrs. Gullett was a member of the Baptist faith and the Eckankar Organization.

She was employed at Carmo Shoe, Union, for many years and babysat for many families in her home.

Mrs. Gullett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, David Gullett; five brothers, Mancel, Ishmeal, Paul and Carlos Rowden and Freddie Gene Crow; and two sisters, Charlcie Hults and Brooxie Allen.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Morris and husband Stephen, Key Largo, Fla., and Darlene Glaser and husband Brad, New Haven; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and -nephews; great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 8, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with the Rev. Mary Hendricks officiating.

Inurnment was in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Columbarium, St. Clair.

Memorials to the Eckankar Organization are preferred.

The family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.
