WILLIAM S ANDERSON--67:
MercerIsland resident since 1947, died Wednesday [4-22] of a heart attack. Anderson was born in Minneapolis MN & moved to the Seattle area in his boyhood. He graduated from Lincoln High School; attended the University-Washington. He was a well-known builder of quality homes on the EastSide, many of which were on Mer-cer Island. He was known locally by his I BUILT license plates on the van he drove. MrAnderson was a member of the Kirkland-Bellvue Elks Lodge-1843 & was a Navy Veteran of WW II.
Survivors include his widow Mary-MercrIsland; sons: Thomas-Redmond; Dean-Seattle; a sis: Isabel Page-Bainbridge Island; a bro: Willard-Bremerton; & 3 grandsons.
Service was Friday [4-24] at Bleitz Funeral Home. The family suggests remembrances be sent to MrcrIsland Aid Unit Fund in gratitude for the fire department's attempt to save MrAnderson's life. Other suggested charities include the Children's Orthopedic Hosp, American Heart Soc & American Cancer Soc.
