Laruce is the name given in Colonial Gravestone Inscriptions in the State of New Hampshire, By Mrs. Charles Carpenter Goss. All other reference to her that I have found are Leatis, Lettice or Latice. She was born about 1705 most likely in Ireland but possibly Scotland. She married David Carlisle. Only three of her children survived to adulthood, Daniel, David and Lettice who married Samuel McCracken.
