In the death of Dr. T. M. Wall this society is again called on to mourn the loss of one of her youngest and most gifted members. Death ever loves a shining mark, and has not left one young and manly Wall to grace our society meetings, to strike from the playful mint of fancy his peculiar thoughts, always terse and full of meaning. He bade fair to develop into a first-class physician and take front rank in his profession. While we deeply deplore the death of our highly gifted friend and brother in the profession, we bow with becoming reverence to the decree of Heaven, and can but feel how untimely, to us, is his taking off. Be it resolved:

1. That we offer to his mother and whole family our heartfelt sympathy and (unknown) assuring them that we too loved him well and knew his genuine worth. not inly in the professional attainments was our friend eminent for one of his years, but in the home-life he was one of the idol, and in the social circle one of the brightest spirits among them all-generous, gifted colloquially, and of fine personal appearance. He was a man of much thought and prudence, shown by his prudential provision for his mother and sister, should his life-thread be untimely cut.

2. That in the death of Dr. Wall this society has lost on of its useful members, society an ornament and the community at large a good doctor and citizen.

3. That a suitable memorial of his life and death be prepared by Dr. J. L. Dismukes; and handed to the secretary of this society for publication.

4. That the city papers be requested to publish these resolutions, and a copy be furnished his family.

5. That these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this society and a memorial page be set apart for them.

The Association then adjourned to meet again at the courthouse, on Monday night, Dec. 5, to listen to an address on the Divinity of Medicine, by Dr. R. J. Howard, of Pryorsburg, Ky.

J. D. Landrum, Chairman.
J. W. Leech, Secretary.
