Survived by his wife, Audrey Matherne Batchelor, Baton Rouge; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth B. and Thomas C. McKowen IV, Zachary; and a great granddaughter.
Preceded in death by parents, Aylmer P. and Bonnie Kate Betts Batchelor.
He was a charger member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Centenary College, a life member of the Louisiana Engineering Society, a 1948 graduate of LSU and a member of the Board of the Krewe of Tumcumcari.
