Ray E. Taylor, 63, of St. Marys died Sunday at Selby General Hospital in Marietta.
He was born in Pleasants County, a son of the late William e. and Zelma Malone Taylor. He was a member of Local 1085 Laborers Union for 30 years and had attended Willow Island Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Colvin Taylor; two daugthers, Linda Hooper of Hudson, Ohio and Janet Bradley of Williamstown; two sons, Ray Taylor of St. Marys and Mike Taylor of Waverly; one sister, Mary Williams of Parkersburg; four brothers, Danny Taylor of St. Marys, Pat Taylor of Belmont. Frank Taylor of Waverly and Junior Taylor of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Willow Island Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ron Branch officiating. Burial will be in Willow Island Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ruttercutter Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today and at the church one hour prior to the service Wednesday.
