Edward Hanson "Pete" Brodton, an Inspirational father, devoted husband, grandfather and a man of great intelligence and humor passed away on the morning of August 23, 2010.

He was born to Evelyn Robinette Brodton and Raymond A. Brodton on January 21, 1937. "Pete" graduated from High School in Everett, Pennsylvania.

He attended Oberlin College and then enlisted as an AV cadet in the Air Force. Twenty years later he retired as a Major.

He married Eugenia L. McDaniel on July 4, 1958 in Weslaco, Texas.

Following the loss of "Gene" in 1978, he met Joan M. Razmus-Kirby and married her on January 24, 1981.

He retired from E-Systems and moved to Rockwall where he enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing and golfing with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, mother, first wife and stepson.

He is survived by his loving wife Joan, daughters Julia, Susan and Barbara and only son Peter. He leaves behind beloved grand-sons, grand-daughters, great grand-sons, sons-in-law and step family.

Now as our lives move forward, we look back and are thankful for having him enrich our lives with his wit and wisdom.

His family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, friends donate to the American Heart Association.
