THE CRITTENDEN PRESS ~ November 5, 1943

Funeral services were conducted last Friday afternoon at Rosebud Church for Mrs. Mary Walker, 86, who died the Wednesday preceding at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Brantley, in the Rosebud section. Mrs. Walker, widow of the late James M. Walker, had been in ill health for the past year and had made her residence with Mrs. Brantley during that time.
Born in Crittenden County, her entire life was spent in the section where she was born. Early in life she united with the Methodist Church at Rosebud and later upon moving to Marion transferred to the church of this city.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Nannie Duncan, Mrs. Gusta Arflack, and Mrs. Girvus Brantley, all of this county; two grandsons, Hubert Arflack, county, and Corp. Herschel Brantley, Ft. Custer, Mich.; brother, S.A. Newcom, county.
