Manley Boyd is the son of William Jasper Boyd and Milburne Pernetta Baggett. He
is also the twin brother of Hanley H. Boyd. They were both born on July 14, 1856
in Ellis, Texas; however, there is a discrepancy with the spelling of his name
and his year of birth on the headstone. His death certificate states his correct
birth year.
He married Cynthia Ann McGill in 1890. She was the daughter of Thomas G. McGill
and Sarah Jett. She was born 2 Mar 1873 and died 4 Mar 1943.
