Later he became a Captain of a sailing vessel which plied the waters of the Rappahannock River, Chesapeake Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean as far away as the West Indies.
Married Rosamond Reagan, who died in 1855.
Daughter Sarah Frances Anderson died at the age of 6 on September 11,1829.
Father of Captain John K. Anderson,of the 30th Virginia Regiment, C.S.A., who married Miss Ella Hundley. A son of this marriage, Fletzell Anderson, M.D. Another son was Mat Anderson, a proprietor of a book store after the Civil War.
The eldest daughter, Mary Ann, married Robert N. Blake of Middlesex County on July 12,1848, and their granddaughter, Maude Blake, married Mr.W.C.N.Merchant of Chatham, Virginia. His grandson was W.N. Blake.
Robert N.Blake, father of seven children, died in Stafford County in March 1892.
Son William married Mary Jane Faudray of Richmond.
