Nina Fern Hall, 94, of York died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Fairmont.
She was born April 29, 1907, in rural McCool Junction to Nicholas Elias and Minnie (Whitemore) Baker and was a member of the United Methodist Church in McCool Junction. On Dec. 29, 1926, she was married to Willard T. Hall on a farm near McCool Junction. She loved to crochet, listen to music, play cards and enjoy her family.
She is survived by three sons, Roland (Anna Marie) Hall of McCool Junction, Norman (Elaine) Hall of Omaha, and Gary (Nancy) Hall of Fullerton; three daughters, Treva (Dean) Perkins of Fairmont, Phyllis (Gerald) Bickert of Lincoln and Marilyn (Jim) Carroll of Columbus; 28 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Hall of McCool Junction; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Vernon, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in McCool Junction with the Rev. Betsy Galloway-Carew officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery near McCool Junction. Memorials may be directed to the church or to the Fairview Manor in Fairmont. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Monday at Metz Mortuary in York.
