From The Central City Record, Thursday, September 26, 1907, page 12, transcribed by Linda Berney:

Notes From Palmer -
The funeral of Mrs. Sarah A. Badgley was conducted at the home southeast of Palmer last Friday afternoon by Rev. A. T. Norwood, of Central City.

Sarah Ann Perkins was born in Illinois in 1832. In 1851 she was married to Isaac E. Badgley. At the age of sixteen she made a profession of faith in Christ and united with the Baptist Church. Her long Christian life was one of usefulness and from the large attendance at her funeral, she was evidently held in high esteem. She was a kind and loving mother, with Christian fortitude, which helped to make her last days, in spite of great suffering, cheerful.

There were nine children born to her, seven of whom are living - four sons and three daughters. These, with her husband, mourn her departure. The remains were interred in the cemetery at Palmer.
