Mrs. Ragna Burslie, 74, of Fertile died at a Fargo, North Dakota hospital early Monday morning following a short illness. The former Regna Jenny Lian was born in Norway on November 23, 1903 to Tom and Jenny Lian. She came to the Minot, North Dakota area with her parents as a very young girl and later moved to Thief River Falls, Minnesota where she received her education. In 1925 she was united in marriage to Carl Parr at Aneta, North Dakota. The Couple made their home in Fertile for many years. Mr. Parr passed away on July 22, 1940. On January 20, 1944 at Crookston Ragna married Alfred Burslie. The couple lived in Fertile where Mr. Burslie passed away on January 4, 1975. Mrs. Burslie was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, the Fertile Senior Citizen's Club, she was the co-ordinator for the Senior Citizens chore service as past president of the VFW Auxiliary in Fertile.

Mrs. Burslie leaves nine sons; Morton Burslie of Hoquiam, Washington, Eugene Burslie of Thief River Falls, Dennis Burslie of Baltimore, MD, Wayne Burslie of Bismarck, ND, Kermitt Burslie and Gene Parr, both of Dilworth, MN, Two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Monte) Stigen of Colfax, Washington, Mrs. Veron (Janet) Ricard of crookston, 30 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one brother, Glenn of Woodby Island, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter, Bernice Pechtal in 1977 and a grandson, Patrick Pechtel in 1975.
