Mrs. Ates died March 31, 1990 at Fair Hope, Ala.
Survivors include one son: Mr. C.L. Ates, Jr.- Gautier, 2 daughters: Mrs. Juanita Blow of Summerdale, Alabama, Mrs. Jimmie Nell Upton of Gulfport; 3 sisters: Emma Myers of Magee, Audell McAlpin of Magee and Zora Ates of Richland. Six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild (sic grandchild).
