Sister Mary Veronica (Margaret) Bajus, Age 75, passed unto the Lord, after a lengthy illness, at The Westbury Long Term Care Facility in Etobicoke.
A dedicated Elementary and Special Needs Teacher, Sister Veronica served in Ajax, Welland, Hamilton, Winona and Fenwick. After she retired from teaching, she volunteered as a Pastoral Minister to the sick and for the last 7 years, Sister led the Rosary at Assumption Cemetery weekly with those grieving the loss of their loved ones. She was also a dedicated member of the Holy Rosary Society at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church.
Sister is survived by her two brothers, Michael (Helen) of Orillia and Edward (Mary) of Mississauga. She was the beloved aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Michael (1982) and Zuzana (1990).
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Convent Chapel, Holy Name of Mary Convent, in Mississauga. Interment at the Felician Sisters' Section at Assumption Cemetery.
