Walter's Father was Peter Marth(b.Germany) and his Mother was Wilhelmine Knipp Marth (b.Iowa). Walter married Bessie Olive Fairley on Dec. 31, 1930 in Chehalis, WA. They had 5 children: Marlene (deceased/cremated), Donna (deceased), Clara (deceased/cremated), Walter,Jr., Dolores. Walter was in the Navy until his Father's passing, then returned home to run the farm. He worked at Darigold in Chehalis until his retirement.
