MONTICELLO — Velda Jenkins, 94, of 709 S. Bluff St., died at 11:30 a.m. Monday in her residence.
Born Feb. 12, 1899, in White County, she was the daughter of Andrew and Millie DeMoss Abersoll, She was married to John E. Jenkins who survives.
Mrs. Jenkins was 'a lifelong resident of the Monticello' community.
Also surviving are one brother, Marshall, Abersoll, kokomo; one granddaughter;
and one great-granddaughter.
One daughter, two sisters and one brother preceded in death.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael E. Brown officiating. Burial will be m
