BERANEK, EMORY JOSEPH, 87, formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (March 18, 1987) in St. Petersburg. Born in Milladore, Wis., he moved to Tampa in 1947 and lived in St. Petersburg for the past 1 1/2 years. He was a retired bookkeeper in a bank and the former owner of a furniture store at Bay-to-Bay Boulevard and MacDill Avenue. He was a Catholic, and a lifetime honorary member of the Knights of Columbus Tampa Council #667. Survivors include his wife Lola P.; four daughters, Mary Ann Schoff, Shawano, Wis., Pat Hansen, St. Petersburg, Sheila Gorrell, Titusville, and Barbara McNees, McDonald, Ohio; one son, Joe of Antioch, Calif.; two brothers, Bernard of Tuckerton, N.J., and Al of Sun City; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
