Virginia Stewart Sahnow, 89, of Ranson, died Wednesday, October 22, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Born August 8, 1908, in Jefferson County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Bushrod Napoleon and Agnes Emma Barr Stewart. Preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Sahnow, sisters: Cecelia Stewart Ware, Della Stewart Waiters, Hattie Stewart Magaha and Betsy Stewart Janes; four brothers: Robert Stewart, Arthur Stewart, Oliver Stewart and Orville Stewart. She had been employed by the Arlington County, VA School Board. She is survived by one daughter, Anna Mae Hardy of Ranson, six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and nephew and nieces. She was a Baptist by faith. Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, 114 N. Mildred St., Ranson. Dr. Wyman Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, WV. The family will receive friends today from 2 pm. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
