Philip S. Timm, 79, of Pahs Road, died Tuesday in Life Care Center of Michigan City. Mr. Timm retired after 21 years with Joy Manufacturing, where he worked in machine maintenance. He was born Sept. 19, 1912, in Coolspring Township. Surviving are four sisters, Mary Lou Kolodiej and Julia Jasinski, both of Michigan City, Agnes McCleer of Jackson, Mich., and Esther Glassman of Kalamazoo; a niece; and eight nephews. He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart; and a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church; Moose Lodge 492, LaPorte, Joy Manufacturing Oldtimers Club and Disabled American Veterans 23.
