On Mar. 15, 1743/44 at the Scotland Cong. Chh. at Windham, Conn., William m. Hannah Baker, youngest ch. of Dea. John Baker and Anna Annable, formerly of Barnstable, Mass. Hannah was b. Mar. 24, 1718/19 at Barnstable where she d. Mar. 4, 1787, Æ 68.
William and Hannah had thirteen children all b. or baptized of record at the Barnstable 1st Chh. Amos Otis in 1860 claimed there were only twelve children, but combined the first two into one child. Only four of the eldest five children have actual birth entries in the Barnstown town records and it is unclear how many of the children survived beyond childhood to marry. The children were: Mary, Mercy (d.y.), William (d.y.), Martha (Crocker) Crocker, Temperance (Crocker) Nye, Hannah, Josiah (d.y.), William, Alice, Mercy, Josiah, Ephraim and Calvin.
