Harold Turner, 75, of Ewing, died Monday, Feb. 17, 1992, in his home. Harold Turner was born March 20, 1916, in Ewing, a son of Elmer and Eleanor Nall Turner. He married Ardis Meilicke May 31, 1939, in Palmyra. She died Sept. 23, 1991. Mr. Turner was a lifelong resident of the Ewing community and had farmed northeast of Ewing. He was a graduate of Ewing High School and was a member of the Ewing Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mildred Faygel of Gardner, Mont., and Georganna Nichols of Quincy; two brothers, Ray Turner of LaBelle and Cecil Turner of Pittsfield; three grandchildren; and other relatives. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister. Graveside services were held Friday in Maple Hills Cemetery at Kirksville, conducted by the Rev. David Howald. Memorials may be made to the Ewing Nutrition Center.
