Dorothy W. Wills, 75, of Lewistown, died Thursday, August 1, 1996, at Hannibal Regional Hospital at Hannibal.

Born March 4, 1921, at Canton, she was a daughter of George and Theresa Cottrell Gruber. She married Dr. John Wills in 1943. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1977.

Mrs. Wills attended Culver-Stockton College in Canton from 1939-1941. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church at Lewistown, had served on a number of boards of which included Lewistown Senior Housing of which she was very active, Lewistown Nutrition board, and Lewis County Nursing Home board. She was Chairman of advisory council of the Foster Grandparents program, a member of Great River Jazz Festival of Hannibal, Monticello Chaper #380 O.E.S., Lewistown Pitch Club and Twin Oaks Club, Chi Omega Sorority at Culver-Stockton College, a volunteer at the Lewistown Nutrition Center and member of the Lewistown American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, George (Skip) Wills of New Boston and John Wills of St. Louis; one daughter, Cindy Fox of Dixon; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m. at Park United Methodist Church in Lewistown with Rev. Sam Wood officiating. Davis Funeral Home in Canton handled arrangements.

Music was provided by Mildred Bailey and Stacy Taylor.

Pall bearers were Kenny Penn, Delmar Klataske, Bob Corben, L. A. (Bub) Gnuse, Mont Corben and E. H. (Tommy) Thomas.
