Clyde Briscoe, 61, of Fenton, Mich., formerly of Canton, died Sunday, Nov. 13, in Fenton. He had been ill for several months. Mr. Briscoe was born July 25, 1916, in Lewis County a son of Thomas Hinton and Beula Cowgill Briscoe. He married Donna Gruber May 5, 1938. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Fenton. Surviving are the wife; two sons, James Briscoe of Fenton and Mahlon Briscoe of Holly, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Larkin of Jefferson City and Mrs. Juanita Stephenson of Arkadelphia, Ark.; two grandchildren; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Barkley-Davis Funeral home in Canton with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial was in Forest Grove cemetery.
