Mrs. Murphy passed away Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Elsmore, the daughter of David and Elizabeth Umphrey Alderman. She graduated from Moran High School in 1932.

She lived in Iola, Coffeyville and Claremore, Okla.

Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker. She worked at Modern Cafe as a waitress for 15 years, COOP Electric Co. for 17 years and Helzberg Jewelry in Lenexa. She retired in 1987. She attended Ives Chapel United Methodist Church in Baldwin.

She married L.D. Smith on Feb. 19, 1933, in Allen County. They divorced.

She married Charles Kohler. They divorced.

She married George Murphy in Burlington. They divorced.

Survivors include a son of Baldwin; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Murphy is preceded in death by both parents & a son Keith Smith.

Graveside services for Georgia Arlene Murphy, 90, Baldwin, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Moran Cemetery.

MORAN — Graveside services for Georgia Arlene Murphy, 90, Baldwin, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Moran Cemetery.
