William Arthur Sneed, 68, of Route 1, Jonesboro, died last night. He was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Bernard Hospital following an attack.

He was a native of Sulphur Rock, a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I. He had lived in the Prospect community for the past 13 years.

Survivors include his wife, Cora (Easley) Sneed; three sons, William Arthur (Thelma) Sneed, Jr. of St. Louis, Missouri, Bobby (Armada) Sneed of Route 1, Jonesboro; Mack (Pearlie) Sneed of St. Clair, Missouri; four daughters, Willie Marie (William Alton) Bryant of Route 3, Lake City, Deolis (Perry) Penter of Route 7, Paragould, Inez (Jim) Long of St. Clair, Missouri, and Carolyn (Dee Troy) Turner of Nettleton; one sister, Gladys (Willie Mack) Mullins of Paragould; one brother, Ira (Opal) Of Batesville; 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at Farmer's Union Chapel in Jonesboro with burial in Pine Log Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Mullins, Wayne Mullins, John Lowe, Virgal Chipman, Shirley Manga and Johnny Lemmons.
