ATTACK FATAL TO CONNOLLY

Joseph Connolly, 66, of 68 Evans Avenue, died Friday of a heart attack while working as a signalman for the Pennsylvania Railroad in Phillipsburg.

Born in Ireland, he was a member of the PPR Relief, Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, Mount Carmel Guild and the Holy Name Society and Bishop Griffin Retreat Club of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Husband of the late Nora Hunt Connolly, he is survived by a son, Joseph E. Connolly of Trenton; two daughters, Sister Mary Nova of the Sisters of Mercy stationed at St. Mary's Convent, South Amboy, and Sister Mary Irene of the Sisters of Mercy stationed at Our Lady of Victories Convent, Sayreville; three sisters, Mrs. Molly McCullen of Trenton, and two others in Scotland; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, one of whom is the Rev. John Fitzpatrick, C. SS. R., a Redemptorist missionary in Paraguay, South America.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 A.M. from the home. Solemn requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 in St. Mary's Cathedral. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery under direction of M. William Murphy. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening. The Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Cathedral will recite the Rosary at 8 P.M. Tuesday.
