Mrs. Tharp was born January 24, 1927 in Jefferson County, Alabama, daughter of the late Selmer and Beatrice Terry Beason. She worked as a Hairdresser and member of New Hope First Baptist Church.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Selmer and Beatrice Beason, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Mr. Leonard Douglas Tharp, who passed away in 1996.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Durwood Perry and Rev. Don Voyles officiating.
Interment followed in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Frank Crowe, Larry Boatright, Ray Drumm, Harry Cook, Fred Platt and Chip Warren.
