Bob was a rural mail carrier out of Ronks for 40 years. He served his community in the Ronks Fire Company, where he was Chief for 31 years. Bob was a member of Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers, where he served on the Consistory. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts and coached midget baseball in East Lampeter Township. He was a charter member of Weavertown Lodge, Sullivan County.
Born in McMinnville, Tennessee, Bob was the son of the late Everett and Lena Mai (Grisham) Gribble. Bob is also survived by two sons, Steve R. married to Donna Gribble and Scott H. married to Janet Gribble, both of Ronks, three grandchildren, Dave, Maggie and Laura and two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Andie, a sister, Linda G. Cantrell of Tennessee and two nephews, Brent and Brad Cantrell. Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Tom Gribble.
VIEWING: Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 6 until 8 PM in the Bachman Funeral Home, 7 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA, and Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 10 until 11 AM in the Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers, 2555 Horseshoe Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. FUNERAL: 11 AM from the church with Pastor Bruce Tully officiating. Please dress in casual attire. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
