Sarah Catherine Odom was born Aug. 20, 1864 to Lewis Bonds Odom, and Matilda Partin Odom. Lewis and Matilda were married August 26, 1863 in Tattnall Co. Ga. During the Civil War, (1865) her father, Lewis B. Odom was killed, no grave, or headstone, has been found.... Sarah Catherine Odom probably wasn't over 5 years old, when her mom Matilda Partin, married Joseph Josiah James. Sarah Catherine was raised by both her mom, and Joseph Josiah James. Hence the name Odom-James, When I find her dad, I will connect her to him, until then she will remain connected to us. She was our "Aunt Sarah Catherine"
