Ruby Marie Daniels, 90, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away Thursday evening, (October 18, 2001) at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The daughter of Clint and Eva Jane Casy (Stewart) Harris, she was born November 10, 1910 in Adair County, Missouri. On October 21, 1931 in Kirksville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Nelson Lee Daniels who preceded her in death on October 23, 1992.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Wanda Dupree in 2000; one granddaughter, Sandra Dupree Kalo in 1989; five sisters, Grace Munn in 1983 and four in infancy and one brother, John Richard Harris in 1970.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Eldon and Jane Daniels of Kirksville, MO; one brother, and sister-in-law, Roy and Ruth Geraldine Harris of Kirksville, MO; one son-in-law, Lloyd Dupree of Kirksville, MO; seven granddaughters; eleven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several nieces and one nephew.

Ruby was a lifelong resident of Adair County. She was employed at Florsheim Shoe Factory in Kirksville for thirty-four years. Ruby was instrumental in helping form the perpetual care for the Prough Cemetery and was secretary for eleven years.

She was a member with the VFW Post #2508 auxiliary, and was a member of the Hamilton Street Baptist Church and the Dependable Sunday school class.

Ruby was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, music, her church and family. She was an inspiration to all and we will cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday (October 21, 2001) at the Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville with pastors Scott Paris and Virgil Jones officiating. Music selections, "Some Golden Daybreak," What A Day That Will Be" and "Precious Lord Take My Hand" will be provided by Steve Lyons, organist and Melodie Sevits, soloist. Burial will be at the Pratt Cemetery, south of Novinger.

Pallbearers will be Larry Asher, Ronnie Hays, Dustin Dixon, Kyle Dixon, Darrel Urban, Herb Houf and Jerry Simpson Jr.

Visitation is in progress and the family will receive friends from six to eight o'clock this evening, Saturday (October 20, 2001) in the chapel of the Travis-Noe Funeral Home.

An expression of sympathy in memory of Ruby Marie Daniels may be made to the Hamilton Street Baptist Church. Memorials may be left at or mailed to the Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, Missouri, 63501.
