Mrs. Marea VanNoppen Wilson, 76, of Friends Home died Sunday at Wesley Long Hospital.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. today at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. William Currie officiating.
A native of Greensboro, she had lived in Durham most of her life. She attended peace College in Raleigh and graduated from Ethical Cultural School in New York. She pioneered in church kindergarten work, opening the First Presbyterian Church kindergarten in Durham.
Surviving are son, Robert R. Wilson Jr. of Greensboro; sister, Mrs. Dabney White of Greensboro; brother, Donnell VanNoppen of Morganton.
Memorials may be made to the building fund of Friends Home, New Garden Road, Greensboro.
